Dou you have a memory to share?
Arriving at deer camp the Friday before opening day, I was upset to find out that someone had purchased the land that I have hunted on for years. Even worse, the new owners had posted it. They would not allow anyone to hunt it. I had shot at least one maybe two deer in that spot for the last seven years. So as you can imagine I was furious and wanted to go home after finding out I couldn't hunt there anymore...

Rick Egrie, a 20 year old construction worker from Franklin County, has an impressive amount of hunting experience throughout his young life.  Avidly hunting since he was 11 years old, Egrie has shot a wide range of game.

When asked what got him into hunting, Egrie slyly responds, “The women…."

Stalking Snow Geese with Rob and Bob in Quebec.
This picture is of Rob Archambault.  It shows a very successful goose hunt in Quebec during late November of the 2009 season.  Rob was able to drop 12 snow geese in this particular field.  He had already taken a Canadian Goose that morning.  This particular morning, Rob and I had been scouting for birds.  We typically hunt using a "stalking" method....

On the Hunt with Jon...

My name is Jon Stowell; I’m a 21 year old junior at the University of Vermont majoring in Recreation Management, with Math and Business minors. I was born in the small southeast Vermont town of Springfield, and grew up and went to school in Chester. The outdoors have been part of my life for as far back as I can remember, participating in fishing derbies with my short Snoopy fishing pole shortly after starting to walk and then taking my first Vermont bull moose at the age of 16.
